Juliana Moves

MOVE·MENT: the progressive development of a poem or story.

“At Home”

{It is so very simple
To allow one’s self to drift away
For the eyes to glaze over
For the hands to weaken
For the feet to bruise
For the back to curve
The difficulty lies in the resistance
The abnormal acknowledgement of the absolute necessity of action
The self does not wear a collar
The self does not hitch to a leash
A subtle strengthen within is gravity
Strength that is built
Built only by choice
A body that stands tall is not strong at all
But a self that is gravitated
Freely bound
Is the strongest of all
And is most at home

Everywhere.}
