Five Nice Things – 3.16.24

Earlier this week I read a blog post about intentionally finding and focusing on five nice things that you have seen or experienced recently. This was not a brand new concept for me by any means, but I enjoyed its simplicity and purpose. After a good but exhausting and jam-packed week, I thought reflecting and creating a list of five nice things might be pleasant and satisfying!

Here are five nice things from my week:

  • Listening to a podcast while cleaning up our house that has been an absolute mess. I’ve basically only been in the house to sleep this week so it was really satisfying to tidy up and get things in order – even if only a little!
  • Walking to events in the warm sunshine. Spring is here!
  • The Magnolia tree blooming outside of our front door. Allergy season may be right around the corner but those light pink blooms are 100% worth it.
  • Trying out some new running shoes. My normal Hokas feel really depleted, despite only having 160 miles or so on them, so I decided to get another pair of shoes to cycle. I’m trying out the New Balance Fresh Foam x Vongo 5s and they seem to be pretty comfy after breaking them in a little.
  • My Spotify Daylist. I love this feature! I’ve been wanting to listen to different and new (to me) music because I was getting pretty tired of my standard stuff. The Daylist is such a fun way to change it up!

I hope you have been having a wonderful week. Even if you haven’t, I hope you have found at least five nice things from your week!
