Sooo, it’s really been a week (plus some), hasn’t it?! Wow. How’s everyone doing?
I woke up at 1:30 am on Wednesday, November 6, checked the news, and then couldn’t fall asleep for an hour because history was repeating itself and I felt sick. When I woke up again at 6:30, the race had officially been called and my mind was freakishly clear.
I’ve been known to say that action is the antidote for anxiety – for me, at least! And I stand by that. You already know that my mind is whirring on what to do next. Virginia has an election every single year and in 2025 we’re electing our next governor. You better believe my 2025 summer is already booked and busy with door knocking and volunteering. We go on.
OKAY, I know we’ve all been consuming the news and post-election media and all the cortisol-inducing content that’s being pushed right now, so I won’t continue to blab about that. Instead, please enjoy this random list of things that I like. They might be randomly pleasant things or opportunities that rev me up and inspire me. I guess you’ll have to find out!
Before that, soak in this quote from Ted Kennedy: “For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.”

- Thanksgiving being in two weeks!!
- Climbing tall walls at the climbing gym
And so much more. I hope you’re hanging in and enjoying the good that is before you as much as you possibly can.
Love,
JN
