And the coffee advent calendar begins! I figured it would be fun to share our coffee activities throughout the month, so here I am. I must say, I’m having a great time so far. Each night, Patrick and I discuss the next day’s coffee task excitedly, which is making cold December mornings more exciting.

Day 1: make a dirty chai latte

Done! Chai tea concentrate with decaf double shots. Patrick enjoyed his in his Santa mug and I saved making mine for an afternoon treat.
Day 2: drink coffee with only Christmas lights on
In retrospect, this sounds like we’re drinking coffee in the nude but you would be wrong!

Oooh, aaaah, the ambience. You can’t tell, but I’m drinking out of a snowman mug here.
Day 3: use a Christmas creamer or syrup

I made myself a winter spice latte and added a dollop of pumpkin whipped cream! I enjoyed this at work on a very busy day.
Day 4: make a French press
I was up first this morning and made a normal carafe of coffee. Why? Because I knew Patrick would have strong feelings about how a French press should be made! He slept in a bit, so once he was up we got started!

I had to go to work early today, so I took mine to go and have been enjoying it all morning. During my first few years of college, I almost exclusively made coffee via French press. It felt so fancy and mature (lol), and I love the way it tastes.
So far, I’m loving this advent calendar. I already love coffee and this is just making me more grateful.
Happy Thursday!
Love,
JN
