Running Bucket List

After running MMT this year, I had to decide what I wanted to do next! Of course I’ll have some down time before I ramp up to the next big thing (see below…), but I otherwise felt ready to go and tackle something new!

I started jotting down some of the races that seemed interesting to me, and I realized that there are so many running-related goals I want to eventually pursue! I thought it would be fun to keep a running (no pun intended) list here.

My Running Bucket List:

Of the road running variety:

  • Run a sub-2 hour half marathon
  • PR my full marathon time (4:38:10) – 4:24:04 on 11/15/25 at the Richmond Marathon! YAY!
  • Run the New York City Marathon
  • Run the Chicago Marathon
  • Run the Toronto Marathon
  • Commit to a speed training block for a 5k or 10k
  • Go back to Austin to run the half or full!

Of the trail/ultra variety:

  • Run Rim to Rim to Rim
  • Run the Lone Star Trail (in 2-3 days)
  • Successfully complete a 100 miler
  • Run basically all the VHTRC events (except Massanutten’s Revenge, I can live without that)
  • Run the Virginia Triple Crown
  • Run the length of the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah (over a long weekend)
  • Run on just about any trail in the Eastern Sierra
  • Run in more national parks
  • PR my 50k (7:18:53) – 6:55:34 on 11/2/25 at Hallowoogie 50k!
  • Run one of Freetrail’s races

And I will continue adding to this as I get more and more inspired!
