The autumnal equinox is almost here! I can’t wait. Experiencing summer with a fresh mindset and relatively stress-free was such a revelation this year. I had a blast and enjoyed every moment – even the most humid ones! I am really looking forward to seeing what fall holds and all the cozy, lovely activities we’ll get into.
I made a summer bucket list earlier this year and although I didn’t really follow it, it certainly set the tone for the kind of adventures I was looking for. I thought it’d be fun to do the same for fall! I hope you’re looking forward to a fun season ahead too.
- Go apple picking
- Do a wine tasting at a vineyard
- Spend a day running/hiking in the mountains and make coffee outside afterwards
- Decorate for Halloween (apparently our neighborhood goes all out!)
- Hike (or run) somewhere new
- Make a chicken pot pie – this one is appropriate for the season
- Run a turkey trot!
- Go mountain biking in a long sleeve shirt
- Run commute to work sometime – been thinking about this for a long time and I just need to think the logistics through!
- Make new fall-themed baked goods
- Do science experiments with pumpkins
- Visit a pumpkin patch or fall festival
- Throw a dinner party
- Run a new route to see fall foliage or Halloween decorations
- Watch a fall movie one night
- Go on a picnic
- Sit by a fire – may invest in a tabletop propane fire pit
- Make dinner in a crockpot
- Go camping – if time allows! our weekends are already packed!
I’m noticing that my fall bucket list is less outright active than my summer list and leans more creative and crafty, but that’s okay! Training is really picking up so I’ll be outside plenty. Plus I love our home and our neighborhood so at-home activities are pretty nice right now.
I want to be better about taking more photos of the people I’m with and the stuff I’m up to so hopefully I’ll be able to report back with photo evidence of good times.
What do you want to do this fall?
