…Reading: My first ever Agatha Christie novel! I’m reading ‘And Then There Were None’ as recommended by Sabrina. A few weeks back, I listened to a podcast about Agatha Christie’s life and I was intrigued! I feel like this would’ve made more sense to read in October, but oh well. She’s got quite the collection for me to dig into come Halloween!

On that note, I still have a big stack of books to read from the library, but do you have any summer book recs for me? I am leaning into the beach read genre this year!
…Eating: Something other than a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast! I can eat a bagel for breakfast any day, even if my appetite is feeling a little wonky. That said, I really felt like I needed to change it up. Lately I’ve had toast with eggs, protein smoothies, yogurt parfaits, and avocado toast! I would do something more exciting, but my appetite really is odd in the morning and I like something that comes together very quickly.

…Wearing: Gold hoops. Look, I wear these all year, but come spring/summertime? I’ll put some on with every outfit. I bought a pack from Amazon a few years ago and love to cycle through them. They make me feel pretty and put together… and I feel like they enhance my tan. Sue me!
…Listening to: this 2000s Indie Scene Spotify playlist. What a throwback! It’s enjoyable on my commute, during runs, around the house – you name it. Some of the songs trigger highly specific memories for me and I kind of love that. All in all, the playlist feels decently summery! Makes me wish I had summer break and could just do whatever I wanted for weeks on end.
…Trying: To take more photos. I am so bad at this! I think it’s because I generally want to be on my phone less so I keep it out of my hands, but also I want to capture memories! I’d also like to print more photos out to hang around the house… One of these days!

…Thinking About: What I need to get done over the next few weeks before MMT! Because I’m…
…Excited For: MMT IN LESS THAN THREE WEEKS!!! WHAT?! How did we get here already?! I have one last big weekend coming up and then it’s taper time. I’ll be honest, my body has felt sort of in a funk the last few weeks, but I decided to stop lifting until post-race (as I think I was struggling to recover from that) and am already feeling better.

I feel nervous for this race, but in a good way. Like I know I can do it, just what will I have to experience out there before I get to the finish?! Time will tell. I am otherwise feeling unexpectedly calm, which I think is a good thing. I want to feel calm and ready to have so much fun. 6+ months of training later and here we are!
What do you have on the docket the rest of this week? I am looking forward to a hot 8 mile run tonight, a very chill Friday, and then my last big weekend of running. There’s rain in the forecast but here’s to hoping that changes!
